I have 7 different 389 Canoes; all are beautiful. My yellow one needs a loose handle repair but that's what the Lifetime Warranty is for. Beautiful collection that I enjoy very much.
I received it as a christmas gift and loved it at first sight. It is really a good EDC pocket knife. It's not to heavy for the pocket and It has two blades(long and short) for different cutting occasions. The price is very reasonable(China made), the quality fine. I stick with it and recommend it.
I received the Canoe knife for Christmas. It was love at first sight. The quality and craftmanship is awesome. I had a chancee to try some whittling with it this afternoon and was amazed at its smoothness and edge holding ability even though I was whittling very hard wood. As with my other Buck knives, I look forward to many years of great service from my Canoe knife. Thank you Buck for your commitment to your knives and your customers.
I've been using mine daily for the past 2 years for daily tasks. Holds up great and sharpens easily. I would gladly recommend it.
This is an excellent knife. It has a little bit of heft, and is very sturdy. Both blades function superbly. The contours are great and I would happily purchase another one in the future. It is what a pocket knife should be.
I have always liked canoe knives, I have a number of different brands. I stopped carrying my Case canoe it would cost to much to replace. This is my 2nd Buck canoe ( 1st one is at the bottom of Lake Erie) the Bucks hold a good edge, fit and finish are good and won't wear a hole in your pocket because of rounded ends. The only change I would like is to be USA made.
I like the fill, smoothness and slickness when holding knife in my hand. Very reasonably priced. Will purchased another Buck, when necessary.
i purchased the buck canoe for $20 as an inexpensive everyday carry pocket knife with the full knowledge that it was manufactured in China. Reviews from other websites indicated that it was good enough quality to carry the buck name. Upon receiving my purchase I was disappointed. The knife was ok, given it country of production... There were some rough edges where the scales met the metal ends. The scales are not symmetrical in their grind and the back of the handle is not as smooth as on USA made bucks. I have owned several other models of buck knives as have my family and we have always been satisfied. I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for an inexpensive edc, made in China knife.
