The Paradigm boasts the latest in innovation and cutting edge materials. It offers Buck’s Shift Mechanism/ASAP® opening technology. The Shift Mechanism bolster lock not only provides a robust locking mechanism, but also provides a blade safety preventing the blade from accidentally opening. The 337 also utilizes a blade flipper for quick and easy one-hand deployment with the ASAP® assisted opening technology. Made in the USA. Buck's ASAP assisted opening knives are functionally different than automatic/switchblade knives. Switchblade knives use a button/lever in the handle to release the blade and the blade cannot be moved at all without entirely opening the knife. Knife laws change and vary from location to location. It is the user's responsibility to comply with all regulations. For more info & general definitions please responsibility to comply with all regulations. Available Features and Options

One Handed Opening

Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well..

S30V Steel

We consider this the absolute best blade steel available, and it is made in America. S30V contains carbon as well as high amounts of Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium. This steel combines fantastic edge retention and high ductility combined with corrosion resistance. Double-tempered - it can be hardened to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 59.5-61. However, it is difficult to resharpen yourself, but we do offer sharpening services for a nominal fee.

Provides great edge retention and hardness for wear resistance and strength. Also difficult to resharpen yourself, but is a great steel choice. For best performance, we harden to a standard Rc 58-60.

Drop Point

This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.

Best pocket knife ever!

I've carried this knife for several years now. I plan on carrying this model of knife as a daily carry for the rest of my life! No other pocket knife comes close to the durability, style, ease of use, and endurance that this blade provides. It is worth every penny!

Nothing but Fine

I have had this knife for several months and I work in an office, I am a carpenter on the side, I hunt and fish all the time. I have finally found a knife that fits all of environments!!!! From the office, to side projects then to the field this knife by far has been the best fit for me. The knife keeps an edge better than any knife I have had before which only means I do not slow down to sharpen it. The size and feel of the knife are comfortable and realistic. the operation of the knife is easy and fast! One handed operation is very efficient and practical for me. This is a must have in my opinion.

All around the best carry knife

The assist opening feature and safety are the best designed of any. It is as fast or faster than any auto knife out there. The S30V blade steel is easily sharpened to a scarey state and stays that way for a long time.......but you have to be patient, it takes awhile to achieve that level of sharp.
