Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well.
This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance we harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.
I carried this knife with me for almost a year until I lost it in the airport because I forgot to take it out of my pocket. I used it for a variety of purposes. It kept it's sharpness and was always easy to use when needed. It felt good in my hand and looked good when showing it off - I had many admirers. The damn TSA kept the knife because I was unable to get to a post office before my plain took off. I almost cried when I saw it go into the box of no return. You won't go wrong with this knife if you can find it.
Bought this knife to carry on special occasions, as I felt it was too nice to use on everyday outings. Definitely a well made tool that looks as nice as it feels. The only thing that I'm not sure I care for is the belt clip. Seems a little awkward so I'll probably remove it. This is my fifth Buck knife in my collection and each of them has been nothing short of terrific.
Why anyone would buy a Chinese made Buck knife is beyond me. Save yourselves some money in the long run and go with the American made knife. China made = garbage!
I bought this knife because of its classy look and the s30b blade material 3 years ago for my everyday knife. It looks like I bought it yesterday and it holds an edge better than any knife I have ever I owned. I've only had to sharpened it 4 times.
Just bought this and have gotten many, many compliments on it when I pull it out of my pocket.
I purchased this little folder over a year ago to replace a very expensive knife that was stolen out of my car. As always I'm very impressed at the sharpness and retention of sharpness that I have always experienced from buck knives! I wear this knife clipped inside and to the far right of my right front pocket. I don't notice its there but when I need it...It always is. The clip is also strong and secure and holds it in place. I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for a nice affordable daily carry that you won't feel in your pocket.
