Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well..
This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance we harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.
I have trouble hanging on to knives so I chose this orange version because of the colour .I have dropped it a few times and found it after retracing my steps .I have used it more as a utility knife rather than for hunting .It has kept an edge through the abuse . It has served me well for the price
I absolutely love this Knife! It is super sharp and has been fantastic when ibpve been out hunting. I recommend it and you get a lot of knife for the price!
I bought this to replace my Buck Folding Hunter for field dressing deer and small game. I wanted something with a fixed blade because I was tired of trying to clean all the goop out of the handle on my folder. This knife is great and, in my opinion, the perfect size. Small enough to clean fish, squirrel, etc but big and strong enough for field dressing whitetails. While it has its limitations, it has quickly become my first choice in most hunting situations.
I have had this knife since 07 or 08. This is the perfect knife for whitetail. I have field dressed many a deer with this. The blade is perfect size and the handle melts in your hand. I have run this blade through many a rib cage and the knife will still hold an edge. I do touch it up every time I dress out a deer. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about this knife. This knife is perfect for hunting. Keep in mind it is a hunting knife and not a survival or buschcraft knife. I see myself handing this knife down to one of my boys in the future when I am gone if I dont wear it out.
Hey all bought my omni at the local Canadian tire here probably four years ago and promptly lost the receipt. I dropped the knife and snapped a half inch from the tip. I just recently learned about your warranty and wondered about getting a new knife. Love how it fits my hand like a glove and still use it daily but use is limited without the tip. Thanks
