Available Features and Options

One Handed Opening

Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well.

Modified Tanto

Holding many of same features as the regular tanto blade, the angled point is modified between the front edge and the bottom edge on this particular blade. Holds up to piercing, scraping, and prying with tough materials.

420HC Steel

This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance we harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.

Buck an american made product

I recently purchased a carry folding knife that I thought was a great all purpose AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT another one of many knives that I have bought since the 60's and 70's from buck. I have always been a fan of your products from the classic 110 to some of your skinners and straight blade hunting knives that I still carry and use to this day. I can not tell you how disturbed I was to find out that my folder #0869cms-b was produced in china.....Buck you have always stood for quality and being Americana. What happened???..I will always be willing to pay more for quality that is produced in USA..stop trying to cut corners as your name is an icon that should be represented accordingly........

just great for everyday use, although small

I have been looking for a sturdy pocket knife with a simple Tanto-shaped blade w i t h o u t those awful sawing teeth for quite a while. And i wanted a first quality steel blade, i have had enough of bad steel blades one just cannot get sharp. A few days after I had misplaced my other (good) pocket knife, i stumbled over this one and bought it. It was sharp when i bought it, but the real quality of a blade comes out with the first re-sharpening. I did not want to wait and gave it my usual sharpening right after i bought it and... I got it as sharp as my hairsplitting woodworking tools right on the first try! It fits well in 3 fingers, good for delicate works with the knife mostly hidden in the fist and just half the blade sticking out. I wish there was a bigger model - one inch more would be sufficient. I use it for everyday cutting and scraping of wood, plastic and metal. Again, its great for its size, but i wish i could have bought a somewhat bigger version of it.

My favorite pocket knife

I bought this knife wanting to try the tanto style blade and wow...this knife kicks butt! I bought the camo pattern and the coating is superb. I am gonna say this now to get it out of the way, yes it's made in China, but if it wasn't known that this knife was made in China I'd believe it's made here. Anyhow....it's a frame lock and that means it's a very strong knife. Not as strong as a lock back, but plenty strong. I have huge hands and even though this knife is tiny I love holding it. Also the whole knife has a knice curve to it so if you have to swing it you need not swing as far. The blade doesn't easily open which is preferred for safety, but not so difficult as hard to open. This knife is also razor sharp and that's not an exaggeration. Be careful with this blade if you decide to purchase it. Only issue I have with this knife is it's super tight on my pocket and putting it on requires 2 hands. All in all awesome knife for the price and if you want to try a tanto style blade or just in need of a tiny pocket knife and wanna try a different shape.
