Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well..
This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance we harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
I bought one a few years back at Bass Pro, it has the 154 CM steel. I am so glad to see this knife back- its a great all purpose sheath carry knife! I use mine a ton when I'm camping. Looks great in Mossy Oak!
This is a very high quality knife. I was worried that blade length will be too short but it's a perfect length. This knife gives you the best grip either you opened it or not. No blade play with liner lock. If you feel something moving, that's probably your fingers moving.
I bought this in Solvang CA, 5 or 6 years ago, mine has the solid wood handle, mahogany. Very useful.
I picked this knife out of my company's award catalog. This was a few years back, when they offered rosewood scales. This is a fantastic daily driver, I never leave home without it. It has never let me down, and years later, the action is as tight as the day I opened the package. If something happened to it, I would definitely replace it with the current model.
Purchased 9 of these a few years back for wedding gifts to my groomsmen, the Dads, etc. bought one for myself and a great all around knife. Purchased the ones with the Rosewood handles at the time. The knife is about 9 years old and still acts and feels the same as it did out of the package. No complaints, will always buy from Buck as long as the product is made in the USA.
