At the recent 2014 SHOT Show, Buck Knives awarded their "2013 Sales Rep. Agency of the Year" to ICOBA International, as well as naming "Sales Rep of the Year" to Jim Thompson of J. Harding Associates.
Jim Thompson, an industry veteran in his market, represents Idaho, Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon regions and has been influential in successful growth of these areas.
"Jim exhibits an unmatched level of commitment in all aspects of his role with Buck Knives," said Chris Bourassa, National Sales Manager for Buck Knives. "We have seen a 50% increase in territory sales over the past two consecutive years. This type of growth is not only impressive, it is essential given the economic changes we have witnessed over the last few years."
The agency ICOBA manages international distribution and is controlled by Tom Ritter and Mike Silverberg, who are heavily trusted for their decisions pertaining to the sale of goods to international partners. ICOBA has successfully met and exceeded sales targets throughout 2013. It is their ability to find success and opportunity in unpredictable and challenging economic times that earned them agency of the year.
"Our current sales force, as well as our dealers and distributors, have served as great catalysts for the growth of the company," said Bob George, Director of Sales and Marketing for Buck Knives. "Tom Ritter and Mike Silverberg fully understand the mechanisms of a global economy and together they employ the flexibility necessary to continue Buck's extraordinary growth outside of US borders. It is an honor to recognize these men and their agency for their astounding accomplishments."
Collectively, Buck sales reps bring in more than 100 years of experience. This type of hunting and sporting knowledge is extremely important for a company that has been in the business of knife making for over 112 years. Through the hard work and dedication of Buck's external sales reps, the Buck Knives brand continues to be well represented within individual territories, as well as throughout the world. The continuous growth is a good indication for future progress and another successful year.
