Available Features and Options

One Handed Opening

Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well..

S30V Steel

We consider this the absolute best blade steel available, and it is made in America. S30V contains carbon as well as high amounts of Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium. This steel combines fantastic edge retention and high ductility combined with corrosion resistance. Double-tempered - it can be hardened to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 59.5-61. However, it is difficult to resharpen yourself, but we do offer sharpening services for a nominal fee.

Drop Point

This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.

Serrations

Serrations give your Buck blade greater cutting power. Especially useful when cutting line and/or cables.

Durable Knife

This is the best knife that I have ever owned so far. The blade keeps its edge very well. I've had this knife for about a month now and I haven't had to sharpen it yet.

Excellent

Great knife well worth the money if you have it. This has been my EDC blade for several months and has preformed flawlessly.

great knife

I have had this knife for a year and I love it, the first 3 months it was starting to loosen in the handle, I would tighten it but it would loosen after a week or two, so I sent it back to buck and they changed the clip and glued the handle together, and know I love it all the more.

New one falls short of my old one.

I purchased a new Vantage Force Pro with a plain edge to replace one that was lost a few years back. My last one came centered, with a tight lock up and the liner sitting right at 40%. That was a great knife. This new one I received is garbage. The liner is at 100% and actually contacting the liner on the other side, almost bypassing blade contact altogether. The blade isn't centered, it veers off to the right, it came with uneven grinds and there's some slop in the blade. I am unsure of how this could pass quality control. I will be sending it in for warranty, hoping they fix it. If not, I guess another company can take my money. Made In USA doesn't seem to have the same meaning it once did.
