tough leather for even tougher weather

I was given this knife and holder for my 32nd birthday from my lovely wife. She knew that id been wanting one as the gerber i carried just wasnt doing the job. The sheath for it wore fast so kept in pocket. Out here we will have temps in the -40 to -60 with windchill. I dont like having to remove my gloves to open or even get to my knife. Now with my 110 and quality leather sheath i can access my knife quickly and still keep my hands warm. Also the sheath does withstand the brutal cold and snow of the red river valley winters and the extreme heat and humidity of our summers. Living up here and working in extreme climates will make a real man out of anyone quick, but with a 110 on your hip helps make you a more productive one in any gear or weather. Never leave home, or my bedroom without it!

Made in Mexico Crap ???

Purchased a new 110 and it arrived yesterday. I was so exited to finally have found a knife that looks good, I liked, and was Made in the USA. I opened the package to find the beautiful tool that is proudly made in America, wait a minute ........ WTH is this Made in Mexico sticker on this sheath ????? Killed the mood and joy real quick. Kinda sad that they would make such a great product, then turn around and send it out with a sheath of such poor quality. I would have rather paid more for the knife and got a good American made sheath, then to find a Made in Mexico sticker stuck to this thing.

Buck, 110 folding hunter leather sheath

Hate it! I have carried this knife almost every day since 1975. Including 23 years in the Navy. Over the years I made repairs to the original, which is expected due to the heavy wear. Finically, there was nothing left log the belt loop to repair. So I decided to get another sheath rather than take my original apart and see on a new loop. The new sheath does NOT have a loop! It has a strap. So the sheath rides much higher on my belt, and rubs into my back. This also puts the flap much higher than I'm used to. The sheath is uncomfortable and inconvenient. I've given it two weeks to get used to it. Not working. I will be rebuilding this one with a real loop. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking to replace the old style. You won't like it. I see others have had this same issue, so, BUCK, take the hint

Rides too high

I really like that my 110 came with this leather sheath. A knife this good needs a cool sheath like this. But the belt loop ( which isn't a loop at all ) is a completely stupid modification of the original loop which causes the sheath to ride way high on your belt -like high enough that your elbow will be wacking it sometimes. All this also makes it awkward to pull the knife out. It also looks dorky, which Buck knife users are not. I really love my 110, want to love the otherwise good quality sheath, but the loop needs to be made the old correct way so it rides nice. I'd give a sheath like that 5 stars. I guess I'll try to fix this one myself if I can. The Buck 110 is sure a great knife though.

Buck 110 sheath

I have had my Buck 110 for going on about 20 yrs now. I carry it with me all the time and in that 20 yrs, I have only had to replace the sheath once, and that was because I broke the snap when it got caught on something and that was about three yrs after I got the knife. Unfortunately I am having to replace it again. This time its because the belt loop broke where it is sewn on to the sheath. I think its outstanding how these sheaths can last as long as they do. Excellent quality. The bad thing is that I cannot find anywhere except here on this website to purchase another one. I am going to feel naked until I have my knife back on my belt.

The belt loop is too small for modern belts.

It only fits on my smallest (under 2") belts. Needs to add a version that is clip style or expand the loop.

i ordered a sheath because the quality on the original was n.g., the replacement was worse, the belt loop is now a flat strap instead of a loop, causing the knife to ride at least an inch higher, the buck stamp was shallower and less impressive, and please don't use 'belly cuts' on the belt loop, it gets the most wear and is the first thing to break. been carying bucks since the 70's ,own several

High Expectations

While this sheath is difficult to evaluate because it is so new, it appears to be a clone of one I purchased long ago and which has stood up to hard use for around thirty years now. I am so convinced that I purchased another Buck sheath for my 112 folding knife. My opinion...... you cannot go wrong with this sheath!

Solid sheath

The sheath looks nice and fits the buck 110 very nicely. Good snap. Seems like a good quality sheath. What disappointed me was the belt loop is not a loop anymore it was changed to a strap which seems to only fit 1 1/2 in belts. I wish these still came with the old style loop. The strap causes the knife to ride very high on your belt.
