Available Features and Options

One Handed Opening

Has a thumb stud, blade hole or other feature to facilitate one-hand use. Some models are one-hand opening and one-hand closing as well..

420HC Steel

This is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance we harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.

Drop Point

This blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.

Amazing knife!!!

I've had this knife for a year and its perfect on the keychain. I always carry it and use it almost everyday... it shows no signs of wear and has never been resharpened... its still razor sharp! I would recommend this to any one for an edc tool!

Buck Metro

If have had a metro for decade. I use it to open materials daily. It is worn smooth and smooth and color is gone a decade back. After a life of use the blade chipped. It was a gift that ment something to me. It means alot to me.I sent it in to buck and the blade was replaced free. Same loved knife back. I have bought all my friends and family one this year. Buck stands behind there stuff.

Favorite Keyring Knife

I received the Metro as a gift many years ago. I own many keyring knives and this is the one that I always come back to. My favorite qualities: -I can find it in my pocket and open it with one hand by feel without looking at it. -It will take and hold a good edge. -It does not look intimidating or "knifey".

Always Handy!

Bought 5 of these for Christmas presents, including 1 for myself. I use it almost every day as it is always handy on my key chain. It is certainly more convenient, lighter, and less bulky than a pocket knife.
